Megan Lewis, Founder
Hi! I’m Meg, Founder and Lead Planner at Lighthouse Events & Design. I have been an Event Manager in the sport sector for nearly a decade, while on the side I have dabbled in weddings to feed my creativity. I’m also a lifelong artist and student, and love painting, drawing, and exploring new mediums in the artistic field. Colour theory is my jam.
In my years in the event sector, I have assisted in the coordination of countless weddings, led the planning and implementation of numerous Team Canada multi-day training camps and competitions for our national wheelchair rugby team, and planned more banquets, conferences, and galas than I can count across the country.
Working in the sport event industry has given me the competitive edge to thrive in a fast paced and high-performance environment, and has built my skillset to deliver high-quality events from coast to coast. Weddings and special events, however, are where beauty and creativity can really come into play, enhancing an event from something you attend, to an experience that turns into a special memory for years to come. Helping couples turn their abstract idea into a beautiful event is where my passion lies.
When working with me, you can think of me as your quarterback or point guard in the planning of your event, providing guidance and leadership to you throughout the process. I view wedding and event planning as a team endeavour, and we will work together in implementing your vision.
I am passionate about every aspect of planning, designing, and coordinating events, but weddings hold a special place in my heart. I am so excited to now take my expertise to the wedding industry once more.
